Can you get equipment to my place?
That is the first question we answer around Wimberley, before we talk price. Narrow drives, steep grades and low branches stop more jobs here than anything in the ground does. If we need to cut an access route we will price that as part of the work.
How do you build a pad on a slope?
Cut into the high side, fill on the low side, and compact the fill in lifts so it does not settle. The retaining or benching that goes with that is part of the job. Building on unengineered fill is how slabs crack.
Will a driveway on a steep lot hold up?
If it is based and crowned properly and the water is managed, yes. If it is just a scraped path it will be a gully after two wet seasons. Culverts and cross drains are what make the difference.
Do you handle the cedar?
Yes. Clearing is the other half of our business, so cedar off the pad, the driveway route or the access road gets taken care of on the same job.
Is there anything specific to Hays County I should check?
